Floyd Fox!

Here's a fun little fox I did as a proposed character design called Floyd Fox. It was for a group of puppet bandmates who are all animals and have names relating to classic rock groups. I don't remember the rest of them but it was stuff like Janis Jaguar. You get the point. But they had to be fun and for little kids, not all ragged hippie 1960's San Francisco.

Old Blog

I also have an old blog which is no longer in use and has not been updated in about a year and a half or so. It was called Sketchball, may it rest in peace.

Top Cow Witchblade/Magdalena Samples

Another short four page sample I slapped together for the ol' Wondercon in SF. This story deals with this shady Magdalena heroine arriving in New York, and then switches scenes to show detective Sara Pezzini, the Witchblade, on the hunt for someone who murdered a priest. This script was found online and was apparently not written as a sample script. I have yet to see the finished comic, but I do know that this Magdalena/Witchblade crossover was illustrated by the ever-talented Darwyn Cooke. His new take on Will Eisner's "The Spirit" has been a great read so far. Again, these samples were revised after speaking to different creators at Wondercon and I appreciate everyone's support and suggestions. Thanks.

Wildstorm Talent Search Samples

Unfortunately, I stumbled upon this script (and the entire contest that it was for) after it had already ended. I completed the samples anyway, which deal with our heroes Mr. Majestic and the sexy WildCAT herself, Zealot, breaking into some sort of evil Daemonite bioengineering lab, thus allowing all hell to break loose. Their old pal Grifter sneaks in to save the day. I took these samples to Wondercon in SF and got some positive feedback from other creators that I spoke to. Nice guys Aaron Lopresti and Mike Mignola offered up some helpful suggestions, which I took and applied. The samples you see are revised. Sure, they could be revised further, but there comes a time on any project where you just have to finish it and move on. Please leave any comments and suggestions you may have. Thanks!
